Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia

Novity will be hosting a Short Course: Introduction to Prognostics and Health Monitoring!

TPS is a vital industry event, offering a forum for the exchange of ideas between rotating equipment engineers and technicians worldwide. Now surpassing 49 years, TPS is known for its impact on turbomachinery, pump, oil & gas, petrochemical, power, aerospace, chemical and water industries through two pathways.

The Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia (TPS) Exhibit Hall is the perfect forum for exchanging ideas and forging new relationships. Visit the booths of more than 270 leading turbomachinery and pump companies who will feature full-size equipment, new technology and emerging industry trends.

Novity will be hosting a Short Course: Introduction to Prognostics and Health Monitoring with our own Matthew Daigle, Principal Scientist, and Daniel Nelson, Director of Advanced Development.

We'll update this as soon as we have details to share. Stay tuned.

Overview

The targeted audience for this short course is process industry operators, maintenance professionals, and equipment end-users.  Attendees will learn the basics of prognostics and health management (PHM), with a focus on how to implement the right solution for their needs. Different approaches to prognostics will be explored, including data-driven and model-based approaches. After completing the course, operators and maintenance stakeholders will understand how to use prognostics to optimize their maintenance programs and minimize the cost associated with unplanned downtime.

MARCON 2024

We're Hosting a Workshop - Demystifying Predictive Maintenance!

Novity will be exhibiting at MARCON 2024, the 28th annual Maintenance and Reliability Conference hosted by The University of Tennessee Reliability and Maintainability Center on March 4-7 in Knoxville, TN at the Knoxville Convention Center. This is an important event for professionals to collaborate one-on-one with presenters, exhibitors, and other attendees in the field.

Come visit us in booth #29 and learn more about Novity’s PdM Readiness Assessment

Novity's Director of Advanced Development, Daniel Nelson and Senior Sales Engineer, Robert Marsh will be hosting a workshop focusing on Demystifying Predictive Maintenance - Time: 8:00am-11:30am, Tuesday, March 5th

Overview
This workshop is intended for maintenance, reliability and operations professionals. The primary learning objective of the workshop is to provide attendees with a better understanding of predictive maintenance PdM) and how it compares with other maintenance approaches, helping practitioners make sense of the often-confusing use of terms like PdM, condition-based maintenance and condition monitoring. The workshop will also cover the different technologies available that enable PdM and some of the factors to consider when determining whether a PdM program should be implemented. Attendees will understand what it means to implement a truly predictive maintenance program.

Learning Objectives
Participants in this workshop will be able to understand and apply the following concepts after completing the workshop:

  • The differences between predictive maintenance and other maintenance approaches, such as preventative or time-based maintenance, condition-based maintenance, etc.
  • The available technologies that support or enable predictive maintenance.
  • Requirements for a PdM monitoring solution that maximizes value for your maintenance program.
  • Guidelines for determining when PdM is appropriate as compared to other maintenance approaches.

We hope to see you there!
